ABOUT THE FARM

Meneca is sourced from specific producer groups in the area of Gigante. The “Ceiba of Gigante” is the symbol of this municipality, also called the “tree of liberty” which was planted in May 1851, when the law abolishing slavery was signed by the former president of Colombia Jose Hilardo Lopez.

Meneca is designed to reflect the classical tasting profile of central Huila, accentuating a clear acidity, a well-balanced body giving a roundish cup, characteristic for the region, completed by notes of citrus and honey.
Our local partner in Gigante Juan de Dios Cuellar established POTRERILLOS in 2011, a producer group committed to supply environmentally sustainable high standard quality coffees
